2014 NFL Schedule Released; Thanksgiving At Levi's Stadium, 49ers vs. Raiders At O.co Coliseum

SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) – The San Francisco 49ers will face the Chicago Bears in the first regular season game at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, according to the 2014 National Football League schedule which was released on Wednesday.

The regular season opener for Levi's Stadium will be on Sunday night, September 14th, with kickoff scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The 49ers will begin the season the previous week on the road against their old rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.

The first season at the 49ers' new home will also feature a Thanksgiving-night rematch of last season's NFC Championship Game against the Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers are scheduled for four prime-time games in 2014, the two other being a Sunday night game against the Denver Broncos and a Monday Night game at the St. Louis Rams.

The Oakland Raiders also begin the season on the road against the New York Jets and face the 49ers at O.co Coliseum on December 7th.

The Raiders will host a Thursday Night Football game against division rival Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 20., but 2014 will be only the second time in six seasons that the Raiders will not play on Monday Night Football.

The Silver and Black also play both teams from last year's Super Bowl in back-to-back games on Nov. 2 at Seattle and Nov. 9 vs. Denver, and will play in London against the Miami Dolphins on September 28.

Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith will face his old 49ers team when Kansas City comes to Levi's Stadium on October 2nd.

Also new this season, NFL Thursday Night games will be shown on CBS from Weeks 2-8, simulcast on NFL Network.
