3 Arrested In Stabbing Of Santa Rosa Teen

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- Three young males have been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 19-year-old man in Santa Rosa early Sunday, police said.

Police said Shane Schueler was stabbed at least twice in his torso shortly before 3:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and McDonald Avenue.

Schueler, who remains hospitalized, is expected to survive the attack, Sgt. David Linscomb said.

Schueler had been told to leave a party in the area of Pacific Avenue and Wright Street after he became drunk and belligerent, Linscomb said.

The three suspects did not attend the party. The three males came upon Schueler and an altercation ensued, according to Linsomb.

Police arrested James Kamau, 18, of Santa Rosa, a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Police didn't identify the 15-year-old and the 17-year-old because they're juveniles.

Authorities said the assault doesn't appear to have been drug- or gang-related.
