San Jose Hit-And-Run Badly Injures Pedestrian

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- San Jose police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that badly injured a pedestrian Sunday night in East San Jose, a police sergeant said Thursday.

The driver of a car struck the man as he was crossing Capitol Expressway near Silver Creek Road at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday, police Sgt. Heather Randol said.

The suspect then drove away and the victim was transported to a hospital with major injuries, Randol said.

The suspect car is described as a charcoal gray 2007 to 2010 Honda, possibly an Odyssey model, with damage to the right front headlight sustained in the collision, according to police.
