2 Small Earthquakes Seconds Apart Shake Area Near Gilroy
GILROY (CBS SF) -- Two small earthquakes less than a minute apart shook part an area near GilroyTuesday afternoon.
The first earthquake with a magnitude 3.2 hit at 1:09 p.m. six miles east-southeast of Gilroy and eight miles north-northwest of Hollister, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
About 35 seconds later, a 3.3 magnitude quake struck the same location, the USGS said.
There were no reports of any damage or injuries.
