RICHMOND (CBS SF) — The Richmond BART station was closed while police investigate an unattended package found on the nearby Amtrak platform, according to BART police.

Richmond-bound trains are being stopped at the El Cerrito del Norte Station, according to Lt. Tyrone Forte. No trains were traveling in or out of Richmond.

Police do not currently have an estimate on when the station will reopen.
