FedEx Truck Hits Bicycle, Injuring Two On Market Street In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A bicyclist and his passenger were injured Friday morning after crashing with a FedEx truck  in San Francisco’s Financial District.

Shortly before 10 a.m., a cyclist was riding eastbound with a passenger on the handlebars when a parked FedEx truck making a delivery pulled out and collided with the bicycle, police said.

Both the bicyclist and his passenger were taken to the San Francisco General hospital with serious injuries.

Medical crews temporarily stopped traffic from moving through both lanes of Market Street in between Kearny and Montgomery streets. The F line is now running after the accident briefly blocked trains.

Police were on the scene taking a statement from the FedEx driver.
