Mom Develops App That Locks Phone If Kids Ignore Texts

(KPIX 5) -- A Texas mother tired of her child not responding to her text messages has created an app that would allow parents to lock their kid's phone if their calls are ignored.

Sharon Standifird of Houston decided she would stop getting mad, and instead get even.

"I need to develop an app that just shuts down the phone and you can't even use it," Standifird said.

Called "Ignore No More," the app allows the parent to remotely lock their kid's phones when their calls are ignored.

Standifird has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and served in the Gulf War. Developing the app was a piece of cake for the mom on a mission.

As for the app creator's son, he said, "Well I thought it was a good idea for other people, not me."
