SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – It’s the biggest event in the pro-wrestling world, Wrestlemania and it’s coming to Santa Clara. Levi’s Stadium in the heart of the Silicon Valley will host Wrestlemania 31 on Sunday, March 29, 2015. WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is particularly excited to have the event in the new home of the “Red & Gold.” Flair is a motivational speaker for the San Francisco 49ers.
During a recent interview with Franco Finn (see above) backstage at WWE Live inside the SAP Center in San Jose, Flair talked about his chat with the 49ers before their NFL Wildcard game with the Green Bay Packers. “Great team, I hope they do it this year!” Flair said. “I mean they got my support!”

A WrestleMania 31 pay-per-view event is planned to televise the event to over 100 countries. In addition, activities in the area include a four-day fan festival at the San Jose Convention Center, Monday Night Raw® & WWE’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the SAP Center and various anti-bullying rallies & hospital visits.
“This week-long celebration will bring more than 70,000 fans to this great city, including what could be more than $100 million in economic activity.” WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon said.
