$30,000 Reward Offered In Oakland Road Rage Shooting That Killed 30-Year-Old Mother Of 4

OAKLAND (KPIX 5) -- An apparent case of road rage that erupted in gunfire - killing a woman as she sat in the passenger seat of her car - has left a Bay Area family shattered.

Meanwhile, police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering a $30,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case, an increase from the $20,000 originally offered.

The victim was identified as 30-year-old Perla Aviña Anaya Lopez, a 30-year-old mother of four children, including a one-year-old.

Her grieving family was in shock Monday. Her husband could not hide his heartbreak.

"She's the love of my life ... and I won't find anyone to replace her," said Luis Lopez Gallegos. "You know, she gave me four beautiful kids."

Three girls ages one, five and 10, along with 14-year-old Luis Jr., who can't believe he won't see his mother again. "She was everything to me," he said. "My little sisters, they don't know what's going on. But my older sister, she's just trying to hold down, like me."

Perla was a passenger in the black 1998 Toyota Camry her husband was driving yesterday afternoon. They were on 98th avenue in east Oakland Sunday just after 12:30 p.m. when he said the gunman got angry and opened fire on them.

"I would have said me, before her," said Lopez Gallegos. "I wish I would've got shot."

Perla was pronounced dead at the scene. No suspects have been arrested in the killing.

Her family has started a GoFundMe donation website to help with her funeral expenses.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Oakland police Homicide Unit at (510) 238-3821 or Crime Stoppers of Oakland at (510) 777-8572.
