BART Service Resumes After Woman Struck, Killed By Train In San Leandro
SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) -- A BART train struck and killed a woman at the San Leandro station Thursday morning, an agency spokeswoman said.
BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost initially reported that the victim was a juvenile, but has since clarified that she was an adult. Trost said witnesses reported seeing her jump in front of the train.

The incident was reported at 9:31 a.m. involving a train traveling from Fremont to Daly City, Trost said.
The death shut down service at both the San Leandro and Oakland Coliseum stations with BART trains turning around at the Fruitvale and Bay Fair stations, Trost said. Service has since been restored at the Oakland Coliseum and San Leandro station.
Alameda-Contra Costa Transit has service between the affected stations, but no bus bridge had been established as of about 11 a.m., Trost said.
