Tuesday Likely To Become San Francisco's Wettest Day In 5 Years

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Tuesday is on track to become the wettest day San Francisco has seen in five years.

Through 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, San Francisco has recorded about 1.13 inches of rain -- already breaking records for 2014 and 2013. But with rain continuing to fall Tuesday, the totals should rapidly climb up the top ten wettest days since July 1, 2009.

The North Bay will likely see in between 3-5 inches of rain by Thursday morning while the Santa Cruz Mountains are expected to accumulate 6 inches.
