Weekend Magazine: Transforming Lives, Kosher Comedy, And Prune!

Liz Saint John interviews three guests every Sunday morning covering a variety of issues and topics. She talks with representatives from Bay Area non-profit organizations, documentary filmmakers, authors, and professors.

1. Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, authors of Half the Sky, have written a new book, A Path Appears: Transforming Live, Creating Opportunity, about the people and organizations and companies that are making a positive difference in the world. 2. Lisa Geduldig, comedian/host/producer of the annual Kung Pao Kosher Comedy shows in San Francsico, talks about the show and the organizations they benefit. Eve Meyer, Executive Director of San Francisco Suicide Prevention, talks about the issue of suicide and the services they offer. Barbara Farber, Director of Development for Jewish Family & Children's Services, talks about the many services they offer, including the food programs that will benefit from the comedy shows.
