Two San Francisco Women Among The Castaways On 30th Edition Of Survivor

"Survivor: Worlds Apart" debuts Wednesday, February 25 at 8:00 p.m. on KPIX 5

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- It's going to be tough to choose which team to root for when Survivor premieres, Wednesday, February 25, because two women from the Bay Area will be among the castaways.

This newest edition of Survivor features the first-time theme of "Worlds Apart" with castaways from very different backgrounds divided into the three separate tribes. The all-new castaways will be grouped by White Collar, Blue Collar and No Collar.

Shirin Oskooi from San Francisco is in the White Collar Masaya Tribe. The 31-year-old will be vying against castaway Hali Ford in the No Collar Nargorote tribe. The 25-year-old is also from the city.

Both women bring different skill sets to their tribes. Oskooi, a Yahoo exec, fits the White Collar mind set. They are known for making the rules. Ford, a law student may have a thing or two to teach her free-spirited No Collar tribe, with their reputation for breaking the rules.

Their so-called 'collars' may be different, but both of these Bay Area castaways share a common goal: to outwit, outplay, outlast and ultimately be crowned Sole Survivor and winner of the $1 million prize.
