Golfer Competing At AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Had Clubs Stolen In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) – A pro golfer planning to participate at this week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am had his golf clubs stolen during a visit to San Francisco on Monday.

Irish golfer Paul McGinley and a friend landed at SFO on Monday and drove to Ocean Beach to get fresh air and have dinner at the Cliff House. After dinner, they found their rented SUV had been broken into.

McGinley's TaylorMade golf clubs, passport and mementos from the Ryder Cup he planned to auction were stolen.

On Tuesday, McGinley was testing new clubs as he prepared to get ready for the tournament. The tournament is set to begin on Thursday.
