New Taco Bell Opening In SoMa Reportedly Planning To Sell Beer, Wine, And Frozen Drinks

Taco Bell has big plans for their new franchise location slated to open at the corner of 3rd and Townsend in SoMa: alcohol.

After reports that a location in Chicago was experimenting with the idea of adding a beer and wine to the menu, it now sounds like that concept has just made its way to California.

As SF Eater reports, San Francisco will be one of the first markets to test out the new drinks menu, but other than that, the menu will remain as it is at other locations.

It will, however, have a fresh look. The new franchise, called Taco Bell Cantina, will appear a little more upscale, but there's no word yet on when it will open.

CBS SF has reached out to Taco Bell and is awaiting their response on further details.
