SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Ride-hailing service Lyft is getting into the spirit of the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco outfitting a number of vans into music-mobiles to transport festival goer back and forth.
Lyft is one of the corporate partners of the event and Thursday it showed off 10 specially-designed vans to help shuttle the estimated 200,000 people who will descend on Golden Gate Park this weekend.

Each van has a different music theme, such as summer of love, California surf, EDM, boy bands, and others outfitted as a recording studio and karaoke bar.
Lyft also announced it would place a 200% cap on prime time pricing, referencing the surge pricing at Outside Lands last year by rival Uber, where rides in some cases cost well over the price of a three-day ticket to the festival.
The company said the specially-outfitted vans can be shared among up to seven people and can be selected as an option when requesting the ride. Users need not be attending Outside Lands to use the special vans.
