Bay Area Rain This Weekend? Low Pressure System Bringing Cooler Temperatures

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A crystal clear Friday morning replaced with increasing cloud cover signifies a change in the Bay Area weather forecast, including a chance for rain this weekend.

An area of low pressure to the north of the Bay Area is spreading light rain across the northwest corner of California that could move as low as the Bay Area by Saturday.

According to KPIX 5 Weather Anchor Roberta Gonzales, there's a 20 percent chance of rain nicking the far reaches of the North Bay, but only on Saturday morning.

High pressure firmly over the deep south is going to allow what will potentially be Hurricane Erika making landfall around Florida possibly by Tuesday. Meanwhile, the pressure of low pressure in the West is continuing to pull down cooler air mass, bringing with it some mild days after Friday.

Expect temperatures around in the 70s at the beaches, upper 70s in San Francisco and high 90s away from the Bay on Friday.
