Much-Needed Rain Enters Bay Area, Valley Fire Zone
(CBS SF) -- An upper level trough combined with a northern cold front is sliding into the Bay Area Wednesday to provide some relief for firefighters battling the deadly Valley Fire in Lake, Napa and Sonoma counties.
KPIX 5 Weather Anchor Roberta Gonzales says the best shot of rain on Wednesday will likely be in the North Bay Valley Fire zone.
Up to .75 of an inch of rain is expected in the highest elevations of the North Bay mountains. Meanwhile, generally less than a .10 of an inch of rain could trickle in south of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Rain will enter the North Bay before lunch hour and during the afternoon in other parts of the Bay Area.
Temperatures will reach the mid 60s in Pacifica and San Francisco, the low 70s in Oakland and up to 76 degrees in Livermore.
