Surveillance Photos Lead To Concord ATM Robbery Suspects

CONCORD (CBS SF) -- Two men have been arrested on suspicion of robbing victims at Concord ATMs last month and earlier this month, police said Monday.

Last week, police released surveillance photos that depicted the suspects and the department then received tips that led to the arrests, Concord police Cpl. Christopher Blakely said.

The robberies occurred on Aug. 27 at about 6:30 a.m. and on Sept.  3 at about 9 p.m., both times at the Wells Fargo ATMs at 2190 Willow Pass Road, according to police.

On each occasion, a suspect showed what appeared to be a concealed gun and demanded money from a victim using an ATM. A second suspect acted as a lookout, police said.

The names of the suspects have not yet been released, according to Blakely. He said investigators are waiting to follow up with the victims first.
