San Francisco Police Seeking Armed, Home Invasion Suspect Caught On Camera

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Investigators are asking for the public's help identifying an armed man wanted in connection with a possible home invasion robbery in San Francisco, police said Sunday.

The incident occurred in the 1300 block of La Playa Street around 8:40 a.m. Monday.

In a security video posted to www.youtube.com by police, the armed suspect can be seen attacking a man in a garage.

The victim fights back and after a struggle he's able to wrestle a handgun away from the suspect, move outside of the garage and point the weapon at his attacker, who then flees the scene off-camera.

The video can be viewed below.

No suspect description was immediately available, but police said he had dread locks.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call the San Francisco Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444
