2 Men Shot, Killed In Oakland Hours After President Obama Delivers Message Of Peace In SF
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Two men were shot to death in Oakland Saturday night, just hours after President Obama delivered a message of peace about the city during a Bay Area event.
"We don't have to have young boys in Oakland getting shot every day," the President said at a fundraiser in San Francisco.
The shooting occurred near 36th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard shortly after 9 p.m.
Both victims died at the scene.
Police say they do have a possible suspect, but so far there have been no arrests.
