Airbnb Offering Brave Souls Chance To Sleep In Paris Catacombs

PARIS (CBS SF) -- This new Halloween experience makes the scariest haunted houses seem like a walk in the park.

Two people brave enough can win the chance to sleep with the skull-lined tunnels of the Paris catacombs.

The offer from San Francisco-based Airbnb would let you sleep with the remains of up to 6 million people who were buried there during the 18th and 19th centuries. Sleep side-by-side with the bones of famous people including Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella fairy tale author Charles Perrault and guillotine victims like Antoine Lavoisier and Georges Danton.

Winners would also be treated to a unique culinary experience and enjoy a private concert in what's been called "the most incredible acoustics under the earth."

The evening ends with a historian telling you a nightmare-producing bedtime story about the catacombs.

In the morning, "enjoy dawn with the dead, as you become the only living person ever to wake up in the Paris catacombs," Airbnb says on its contest page.

To be considered for this hellish experience, contestants must tell the host before midnight October 20th why they think they're brave enough to sleep in the catacombs.

The prize is open to couples and friends.
