Solano Co. Issues Vital Records On Paper Again Now That Shortage Is Over

SOLANO COUNTY (CBS SF) -- The Solano County Assessor/Recorder's Office announced on Tuesday that it has resumed regular issuing of birth, death and marriage certificates to the public after a paper shortage.

The shortage apparently began earlier this summer, and limited walk-in customers at the county office to just one vital record per visit.

That limitation is now being removed, as the office has received its first shipment of the paper used for these records.

"I want to thank the public for their patience and understanding," Solano county Assessor/Recorder Marc Tonnesen said in a statement.
