Magnitude 2.8 Earthquake Strikes San Jose Area

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A magnitude 2.8 earthquake struck the San Jose area early Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake struck at 6:37 a.m. about 9 miles east of Downtown San Jose in the foothills. A handful of visitors to the USGS website from the Santa Clara Valley reported feeling weak to light shaking. There are no reports of injuries.
