Curry Thanks Fans For Voting Him All-Star Starter

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – Golden State Warriors star and NBA MVP Steph Curry took to social media Friday to thank fans for voting him a starter on the NBA West All-Star squad.

Curry will start in the back court with Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook. Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, Oklahoma's Kevin Durant and San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard round out the West's starting lineup.

Bryant – who will be making his final All-Star appearance – led all players in the fan voting, finishing with 1,891,614 votes ahead of Curry's 1,604,325.

Missing from the starting line-up was Curry's teammate Draymond Green. Leonard edged out Green for the starting spot as did Dallas center Zaza Pachulia, who rode a surge in international voting.

Also absent from the starting lineup this year was Curry's running mate Klay Thompson – who started in the 2015 All-Star Game.

Both Green and Thompson could be added when the league fills out the roster next week.

The West squad will square off against an East starting unit of LeBron James, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Kyle Lowry.
