As Super Bowl Nears, Downtown San Jose Set To Celebrate
SAN JOSE (KPIX 5) – While Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara hosts Super Bowl 50 one week from Sunday, neighboring San Jose is kicking off its own game celebrations.
Starting Friday evening, Plaza de Cesar Chavez will be transformed into a family friendly, game-themed party space with live music, beer garden, food trucks and a scaled down football field for the kids.

The space opens at 5 p.m. on Friday and will be open each day until Super Bowl Sunday from Noon to 10 p.m.
Plaza de Cesar Chavez is across the street from the Marriott, where the NFC Champion Carolina Panthers will be staying for the game.
