7 Vehicles Vandalized Near Lucchesi Park In Petaluma

PETALUMA (CBS SF) -- Police are investigating multiple-vehicle vandalism that occurred Friday evening, according to the Petaluma police.

Police said at 7:21 p.m., a victim reported that her vehicle was vandalized in the 300 block of North McDowell Boulevard.

According to police, an unknown person broke the front windshield of the victim's vehicle and caused additional damage to the hood, consisting of chipped paint and scratches.

Police said a search of the area was conducted and a concrete block, believed to have caused the damage, was located.

Later, reports of similar vehicle vandalism in the 200 block of Novak Drive were reported, police said.

During the investigation, officers located approximately six additional damaged vehicles in that area, according to police.

Police said none of the vehicles appeared to have been entered and nothing was stolen from inside.
