Another Young Girl Comes Forward In Concord Molestation Case

CONCORD (CBS SF) -- Another girl under 10 years old has come forward as a victim of alleged molestations by a Concord dental assistant, police said Thursday.

The girl is the fourth juvenile victim identified in the case of 24-year-old Antioch resident Alejandro Saro, who was initially arrested on April 2 on suspicion of molesting a sedated 8-year-old girl in a Concord dental office.

Cpl. Christopher Blakely said the recently identified victim said Saro touched her during a dental visit to Patino Orthodontics at 2751 Concord Blvd.

During interviews, the victim alleged that Saro touched her and recorded it in a room designated for X-rays, Blakely said. The date of the incident was not specified.

Patino Orthodontics was Saro's previous place of employment before he began working at the La Clinica Monument dental office at 2000 Sierra Road in March 2015.

All three of the other victims' allegations stem from dental visits to La Clinica Monument.

Saro was arrested after it was reported that he allegedly touched and photographed a girl's vaginal area as she was being sedated with medical gas in the exam room of La Clinica Monument, according to police.

Saro, who is being held at Martinez Detention Facility on $8.1 million bail, has been charged with eight counts of forcible lewd acts upon a child and a count of possessing child pornography, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

The case is still being investigated. Police have said there could be many additional victims, based on a plethora of videos allegedly found in Saro's possession that included victims not yet identified.

He also worked at Concord and Antioch locations of Western Dental in the past, but no victims have yet been identified from his time there.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or had contact with him and noticed suspicious behavior has been asked to contact police.

Anyone with information can call Concord Police Department's special victims unit at (925) 603-5836. Those wishing to remain anonymous can do so by calling (925) 603-5836.
