29-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot In Rodeo
RODEO (CBS SF) --A 29-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday in the unincorporated Rodeo area of Contra Costa County, sheriff's deputies said.
Deputies responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Mariposa and Napa avenues at 12:09 p.m.
They found spent shell casings at the scene, but were not able to locate a victim or any suspects.
Deputies notified local hospitals and were later informed that a 29-year-old gunshot victim had arrived at the Richmond Medical Center.
He was later pronounced deceased. Information about the victim's identity was not immediately
available.
Detectives are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
