ABBA Celebrated Their 50th Anniversary With A Performance of 'You & I'

By Radio.com Staff

(RADIO.COM) – ABBA performed together on Sunday (June 5) at a private party in Stockholm, Sweden. The occasion celebrated 50 years of friendship between members Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson.

To celebrate their fellow members and former partners, Agnetha Fältskog and Ann-Frid (Frida) Lyngstad not only made an appearance at the party, but they also sang "You and I." Björn and Benny eventually joined then onstage towards the end of the song, according to Expressen. The four members also took some time at the evening's end to talk about ABBA and sing together once more.

Frida said about the reunion, "It was absolutely amazing. A lot of emotions. We've made this journey throughout our history. Benny and Björn in particular. Its been very nostalgic."

This isn't the first time all four have appeared together onstage, but it does mark their first performance in some time. The group appeared in January for the opening of Stockholm's new restaurant Mama Mia! The Party, but didn't perform at that event, Pitchfork reported.
