Report: Ticket Prices For Game 3 Of NBA Finals Drop By 30 Percent

Bryan Altman

Now that the Cavaliers have dropped into an 0-2 hole against the Golden State Warriors, ticket prices for Wednesday night's Game 3 in Cleveland are dropping accordingly.

According to a report from ESPN's Darren Rovell, the least expensive tickets for the game before tip-off on Sunday night were $280. Today, after the Warriors' blowout 110-77 win over the Cavaliers in Game 2, the cheapest tickets are going for just under $200.

By comparison, on StubHub.com, the cheapest tickets to get in the arena for a potential Game 5 back at Oracle Arena in Oakland are going for $645.

While the price on the tickets for that game are unlikely to decrease, especially if the Warriors come back home with the potential to clinch in Game 5, should the Cavaliers win on Wednesday ticket prices will likely rise for Game 4 in Cleveland on Friday night.

Currently, tickets for Game 4 are going for $340 minimum, likely because the game is on a Friday night as well.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals tips off at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he'd gladly trade them for just one championship for any of his other three teams.
