Search For 90-Year-Old Man Missing From Burlingame Care Facility

BURLINGAME (CBS SF) -- Police were asking for the public's help to find an elderly man who disappeared Tuesday morning after walking away from the Burlingame care facility where he lives.

Around 8:15 a.m., 90-year-old Lionel Hamel Jr. walked away from the facility and was reportedly seen walking south in the 1700 block of California Drive, according to police.

Hamel has no money and no ID with him, police said.

Police are concerned that Hamel may be lost since he suffers from dementia.

He was last seen wearing brown pants, a gray vest over a long-sleeved button-up shirt and a dark baseball cap. He also has gray hair and walks with a silver front-facing walker, according to police.
