How A Warriors Fan Got Into Game 7 With Fake Press Pass

OAKLAND (KPIX 5) -- University of Texas sophomore Micah Poag was determined to see his Warriors play in Game Seven of the NBA Finals, but he didn't have a ticket

Despite heavy security including bomb sniffing dogs, Department of Homeland Security, and Oakland's finest, he snuck in.

"I wanted to go to this game, and uh, I have this vision to use a fake press pass," Poag told KPIX 5 via Skype.
Micah says he's pretty good with Photoshop on his laptop, and created his own personal press pass with photo, fake numbers and fake bar code.

"I Photoshopped my pass for two hours and went to Kinkos," Poag said.

Arriving hours early, no one challenged it, and he was in.

Poag even shared pictures of his adventure on Instagram.

Officials at Oracle Arena did not respond to a request for comment on Poag's pass.

Poag says when the game started, he went straight up to the top seats, changing into his favorite Curry jersey, and had a great time.

Poag said he almost got on the court after the game. His parents and family were shocked at first, and he has a message for the arena.

"I hope that they uh, they recognize that it wasn't intended to be malicious, and I hope no one gets fired. I was really just trying to observe the historical significance of the game," Poag said.

Poag said he has been contacted about doing a short film about his exploits.

"I had one, one outlet contact me about making a movie like offer like a quick contract," Poag said.

Although he says he has no plans to do such a thing again.
