The East Bay Times reported that the incident began at a detox center in Stuart, Florida, where the 19 year old had checked in just days earlier.
Guap apparently left the voluntary facility on her own before a staff member convinced her to return. When she returned, she apparently became upset, and bit a guard when he tried to prevent her from pulling down a large countertop safe.
A source with the sheriff’s department told KPIX 5 the vest Guap is seen wearing in her booking photo is an anti-suicide garment.
