Sonoma Music Festival Canceled Over Low Ticket Sales

KCBS_740

SONOMA (KCBS) – This fall's Sonoma Music Festival has been canceled, after getting upstaged by the "Desert Trip" festival in Southern California.

Organizers say ticket sales for the Sonoma show - with John Fogerty, the Steve Miller Band, Curly Wolf and others - were too low to justify putting on the show.

It was scheduled to happen on the weekend of October 7th through the 9th. That's the same weekend the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, the Who and Roger Waters will be in Indio for the big music event some people are calling "Boomerchella."

The cancellation is a huge loss for the non-profit Sonoma Music Festival's charitable efforts.

If you have tickets to the Sonoma show, you can get information about refunds at the Sonoma Music Festival's website starting October 1st.
