Mom, Sons Injured In Horrific Oakland Crash

OAKLAND (CBS SF ) – A mom with her two sons riding along lost control of her SUV on an Oakland street early Tuesday, flipping over in a horrific crash that left all three hospitalized, authorities said,

Oakland Police PIO Officer Johnna Watson said alcohol was believed to have played a role in the 1:10 a.m. crash in the area of 44th Avenue and San Leandro Street.

The mom, who was driving, apparently lost control of the vehicle, crashing into multiple parked cars and a utility pole before the SUV came to rest on its roof.

One of the sons suffered critical injuries while the mother and other son had minor injuries.

Oakland police are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact traffic investigators at (510) 777-8570.
