Listen To Green Day's 'Revolution Radio'

By Hayden Wright

(RADIO.COM) – Green Day's Revolution Radio is one of the fall's most anticipated albums, and its title track is now available for listening. The band dropped "Revolution Radio" on the heels of "Bang Bang," and promise that their new album will face national and global politics head-on.

More than a decade after American Idiot defined the angst of a generation, Revolution Radio is set to carry the mantle into a new presidential election, a new media landscape, and new rock scene. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

"Give me rage like there's teargas in the crowd/ Do you wanna live out loud?/ But the air is barely breathing/ Rise of the slums to the obsolete," sings Billie Joe Armstrong. "The dawn of the new airwaves/ For the anti-social media."

Green Day have put out a lyric video to accompany the new song. Revolution Radio is scheduled to be released on October 7.
