Driver Hits Cyclist In Oakland, Then Steals His Bike

OAKLAND (CBS SF) — A driver ran down a bicyclist and then stole his bike Thursday afternoon in East Oakland, police said Friday.

Officers responded at 2 p.m. to the 1300 block of 88th Avenue on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was riding a bicycle when the suspect approached him.  After a brief conversation, the cyclist rode away but the suspect followed him and hit him with a car, according to police.

The cyclist fell to the ground and the suspect stole his bicycle.

The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

    Sounds like the usual behavior patterns associated with Oakland, Ca.

    I am sure it was some black man who could not afford a bike and really needed one to go buy his drugs. We should not judge these lowly creatures since they are not responsible enough to be part of our society.
