100s March In Oakland In Solidarity With Keith Scott Protest In Charlotte NC
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- About 200 protesters were marching in downtown Oakland Saturday night to protest the fatal police shooting of 43-year-old Keith Lamont Scott in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The protest started around 7 p.m. at Frank Ogawa Plaza. Officers formed a line on both sides of the protesters as they marched down Broadway.
As of 8:30 p.m. it was still peaceful.

The Oakland solidarity march comes after several nights of protests in Charlotte. One man was shot and a curfew was imposed.
Early Saturday, Charlotte police released video of Tuesday's shooting after mounting pressure from community leaders and local politicians.
The video showed Scott exiting a car and backing away with his hands at his sides.
Police said Scott was armed but no gun is visible on the video. In a separate shot, police show a gun and joint, which they allege were in Scott's possession at the time of the shooting.
Scott's wife released her own video recording of the fatal encounter earlier this week. She can be overheard on the video pleading with Scott to cooperate and telling the officers he is not a threat.
Scott was killed after officers allegedly observed him in his SUV rolling a marijuana cigarette and confronted him. They had come to his apartment complex to serve a warrant on someone else.
The plainclothes officer who shot Scott has been identified as Brentley Vinson. He has been placed on leave.
