The San Francisco 49ers versus Arizona Cardinals match-up on Thursday Night Football didn’t deliver much in the way of highlight plays in the first quarter and a half of game play. The two team’s first nine possessions all resulted in a punt.

The 49ers fifth possession started to breathe some life into the game however. After looking shaky and missing several open receivers on his first four forays onto the field, quarterback Blaine Gabbert started to show off some accuracy hitting his receivers in stride as the team moved 78 yards down to the Cardinals nine yard line.

It was at that point that Gabbert found receiver Jeremy Kerley for the fourth time on the drive and it resulted in the first points of the night.
