Raiders fans have been excited by the tantalizing young combination of Derek Carr and Amari Cooper since Cooper was drafted with the 4th overall pick in last year’s draft. The “AC-DC” connection has been extremely fruitful in its first year and change together as Cooper has hauled in 92 receptions for 1,388 yards and six touchdowns in his young career.
However, Cooper, despite having a good start to the season, had yet to find the end zone coming into today’s game against the AFC West rival San Diego Chargers. That changed on one play in the third quarter as Cooper burned the Chargers defense deep and Carr found him for an easy touchdown.
Cooper has six receptions for 138 yards and the touchdown so far today.
