OAKLAND (CBS SF) — Khalil has been taught that it’s good to share with others what you have.
So when new Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant took a break during the team’s open practice Tuesday night, he looked a little hungry. Khalil offered him one of his nachos.
Khalil was just one of the thousands of fans who packed Oracle Arena for a chance to see Golden State run through a practice session.
Excitement has been sky-high since Durant announced last July that he was joining the two-time NBA finalists and 2015 NBA Champions.
Head coach Steve Kerr, who was sidelined for the first half of the 2015-2016 season with a back injury, told the crowd that the challenge was blending in a talented player like Durant with a team that already included all-stars Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
“The biggest challenge we have is putting it all together and seeing it work,” he told the packed arena. “We have a lot of talent.”
The rest of the night was a love affair between the players and the fans.
Including forcing the rookies to sing for the crowd. Like this number from Patrick McCaw.

The Warriors open the regular season on Oct. 25th against the San Antonio Spurs.
