BERKELEY (CBS SF) — A female victim was robbed of her purse and cellphone early Friday morning near the University of California at Berkeley campus, police said.

The strong-arm robbery occurred at 12:10 a.m. in the 2300 block of Bancroft Way.

Three suspects approached the victim as she was walking and took her purse and cellphone before they left the area in a sedan, according to police.

Officers searched the area but did not find the suspects. Police said they are looking for two male suspects and a female suspect.

All are reported to be in their 20s and were wearing dark clothing, police said.

    Women that are dumb enough to go to UC Berk should not be surprised if they are robbed of their smartphones (such as the wonderou iPhone 7) or their va jay jay love.
