Coastal Flood Advisory In Effect As Stormy Weather Moves Out

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A coastal flood advisory for the entire California coast is in effect until 3 p.m. Monday, National Weather Service officials said.

High astronomical tides and large ocean swell will cause minor coastal flooding and beach erosion through Monday afternoon.

Showers may linger Monday, but precipitation is expected to end by late afternoon, NWS officials said. No weather hazards are forecast after Monday.

More than 99 percent of Bay Area power outages associated with this weekend's storm have been restored, a Pacific Gas and Electric spokesman said this morning.

More than 670 Bay Area customers were in the dark at 4:30 a.m. Monday, including 345 in the South Bay, 202 in the East Bay, 112 on the Peninsula and 13 in San Francisco.

Between 5:45 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 p.m. Sunday, 174,581 Bay Area PG&E customers were impacted by electrical outages, 173,909 of whom now have service, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.
