2nd Person Dies After Sebastopol Marijuana Shooting

SEBASTOPOL (CBS SF) — A second person who was shot Saturday night at a residence south of Sebastopol where marijuana was found has died, Sonoma County sheriff’s officials said this afternoon.

John Jessie Mariana, 28, of Guerneville, died at a hospital at 1:35 p.m. today from a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff’s deputies responded around 8:15 p.m. Saturday to the shooting in the 5000 block of southbound state Highway 116. Nathan Proto, 36, of Sebastopol, died at the scene while a third shooting victim, a woman, remains at a hospital.

Violent crimes investigators do not know if money or marijuana were taken from the residence, but there is evidence to suggest the case involved the sale of marijuana, sheriff’s officials said on Facebook earlier Tuesday.

  1. Looks like a couple drug dealers got what they deserved. Pot is just as disgusting and life-destroying as other drugs. If you deal or traffic in pot, you are a criminal and deserve the death penalty for spreading your poison into our community.

What’s the matter Josef, too much caffeine?

John Jessie Mariana sounds like another failure that should have been aborted by his parents. Good example of when a whor should have swallowed the load rather than let it seep between her legs.

Guerneville has always been a place where losers live.

Once again that eeeee-vee-ill merrywanna has hypnotized good people and turned them into criminals. There’s no doubt that but for the existence of cannabis that the culprits in this case would have instead been singing in the church choir on Sundays, working as full time volunteers at the soup kitchen feeding the hungry and helping diminutive, elderly women negotiate busy traffic intersections in their spare time. There’s no doubt whatever that were it not for the existence of merrywanna that there would be no crime in our society!
