Amy Schumer Parodies Beyoncé's 'Formation' Video

By Amanda Wicks

(RADIO.COM) – What's an actress to do while she's got down time on set? Make a Beyoncé parody, of course.

While filming a yet untitled movie with Goldie Hawn in Hawaii over the summer, Amy Schumer and her co-star had some fun by creating their own version of Beyoncé's "Formation" music video. And now it's available to stream on none other than TIDAL.

In the video, Schumer does a spot-on job recreating some of the dance moves from the original video, but with a different background of course. In one scene, she and Hawn perform their measured moves in Hawaii's lush forest, while in another she looks to be in a parking lot similar to where Beyoncé and her dancers staged a scene.

For those keeping tabs on comedians' musical fandom, the video has a lot in common with Aziz Ansari and Eric Wareheim's take on Kanye West's "Famous." Before the rapper released his controversial video, the two actors made their own while on vacation in Italy, and West went so far as to recognize it.

Considering that TIDAL not only recognized Schumer's take on Beyoncé but is hosting the video on its site, it seems like she has their approval.
