Derek Carr Completes Another Clutch Late Game Drive

By Rahul Lal

Some of the side effects of being a Raiders fan include high blood pressure and glowing optimism about the future. We have seen Derek Carr come into his own game after game but it's time to announce that he's officially arrived and is a force to be reckon with.

In a heated matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carr has put up 340 yards with three passing touchdowns to former Bucs offensive lineman Donald Penn, star wide receiver Amari Cooper and one to tight end Mychal Rivera. The touchdown to Rivera came with 1:38 left in the fourth quarter to tie the game up at 24.

The Raiders would go on and force the Bucs to punt with just enough time left on the clock for the Raiders to form a last drive score but those attempts were wasted with Cooper dropping what seemed to be a surefire touchdown and a missed field goal by Sebastian Janikowski, one of the best long distance kickers in NFL history.

The Raiders and Bucs are now headed into overtime tied at 24.
