Raiders' Offensive Lineman, Donald Penn, Catches TD Against Former Team

By Rahul Lal

The Oakland Raiders have boasted an explosive offense leading to a 5-2 overall record. Much of that success can be attributed to the blocking from the big bodies on the offensive line which is considered to be one of the best in the NFL. Donald Penn lines up at left tackle but did something new today, he caught a redzone touchdown from the quarterback he keeps healthy.

Penn played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2006-2013 before ultimately being cut. He then signed with the Raiders and has become an integral part of the team resigning a two-year deal back in March to remain in Oakland. This is not the first time Penn has caught a touchdown, he has four total career touchdowns on only six career receptions. Maybe somebody should tell Jack Del Rio to make more use of him on the goal line.

The Raiders scored once again in the third quarter with Derek Carr and Amari Cooper connecting for 34 yards to bring the score to 17-10 in the Raiders' favor.
