SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Two people died early Sunday morning when the car they were in crashed into a wall in East San Jose, according to police.

At 4:11 a.m., officers responded to a report of a crash involving a vehicle that was on fire on South Capitol Avenue at Excalibur Drive, police said.

After a preliminary investigation, officers determined the vehicle was heading south on South Capitol Avenue when it struck a center divide and crashed into a sound wall along Capitol Expressway. The vehicle then caught fire, according to police.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

Then Saturday morning, a pedestrian was fatally stuck during a hit-and-run at around 3:05 a.m. near East Hedding and North 15th streets.

Later that evening, a woman died when she fled from police in a stolen vehicle before crashing into a light pole at Fruitdale Avenue and St. Elizabeth Drive at around 8:40 p.m., according to police.
