Drive-By Shooting In SF North Beach Leaves Man With Life-Threatening Injuries

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- One person suffered life-threatening injuries in a drive-by shooting following a dispute in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood early Sunday, police said.

The shooting was reported at 2:14 a.m. in the 400 block of Columbus Avenue, according to police.

Three male victims in their 20s were leaving a business in the area when one of them, a 24-year-old man, bumped into a man who was accompanied by two others, according to police.

The victim and the man he bumped into argued with each other before the suspects walked away.

A short time later, the suspects pulled up in a vehicle and shot at the victims, striking the victim who had been involved in the original dispute.

The suspects then fled south on Columbus Avenue, while the victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been reported in the case as of Monday, police said.
